10 Questions!

1. How did your parents decide on your name?

I actually am unsure. I know that the name my dad liked wasn't going to fly with my mom so they decided on my name.

2. Do your initials (First, Middle, Last) spell out anything fun/funny?

No they are pretty boring initials.

3. Did you take your middle name from childhood or did you take your maiden name as your middle name? (If unmarried, what do you plan to do?)

I kept my middle name and dropped my maiden name. Wasn't a big fan of it so I took James's last name.

4. Are you or will you name your children thematically (ie. same first letter, all of same origin…)

Nope at least not for our daughter. If we have a son he will have the same first, middle and last initials as James. Just something James thought would be cool.

5. Did you decide on baby names as a little girl? Did you stick to them or change your mind?

I had all my names picked out and then once I met James and we started talking about names we came up with Kelbie for a girl and I decided on her middle name just because I like the way it sounded together. When we were talking about boy names, James hated every single name I had picked out so I let him pick the first name and we decided that my dad's middle name will be the boys middle name if we have a boy.

6. Does your family have any names that have been passed down through generations?

I am sure that there are a few but I am not sure what they are.

7. Do you look at the meaning of the name or just the name itself?

Nope just the name and how we came up with it. We aren't one that are to concerned about the meaning of names.

8. Do you name pets with human names (Sally, Henry) or with pet names (Fluffy, Mr. Bo Bo)?

I guess Human names.... Lizzie, Jersey and Indiana.

9. Are there any names that you have an affinity or dislike for based on a childhood experience/someone you once knew?

There are a few but I don't know if that would make a difference on naming our kid or anything but I don't know unless I start to think about it again.

10. What are some of your favorite names? Why?

Girls: Rivers, Emerson, Whitley, Trinity
Boys: Grayson, Liam, Jaxon, Jagger, Mason

Saw this on a friends blog and thought it looked fun so I decided to do it. Maybe it will entertain some of you for a little bit today or whenever you get around to reading my blog. Have a good weekend!!!

It's Been Awhile!!!!

So I have totally been MIA for a few weeks. I haven't really had much to write about but decided I should probably update on what my little munchkin is up to these days. So my bff came to visit over spring break and she got to meet Kelbie for the first time. It was a short visit but we had alot of fun. Kelbie went to the Zoo for the first time when Vicki was here and she seemed to really enjoy it. I look forward to taking her more as she gets older and James will hopefully be able to come next time we go.

Kelbie is almost 6 months old. Where has the time gone. I feel like she is growing way to fast for me. She is on the verge of crawling. She rolls and scots all over the place. She can pull her knees up as if she is going to crawl but then falls back on her tummy. She just started to have interest in sitting up by herself. She can sit for a few minutes before she falls overs. My little girl is turing into a little person faster then I want her too.
James and I have been having a lot of fun watching her do all her new stuff and it is finally time to start bringing out all her older toys.

Easter is right around the corner and I am excited that Kelbie will have her own basket full of goodies this year. I am still on the hunt for the perfect basket and goodies for her but I still have a little time. The Monday after Easter is James and I's 2 year anniversary. It doesn't feel like it has been 2 years already. I never thought our lives would have changed so much in 2 years. It has been a blast and I wouldn't change anything that has gone on in the past  years.

Well I will upload some new pictures later on this weekend of Vicki's visit, the zoo and all the other things I have pictures of sincethe last time I updated here. I am going to try to update on a more normal basis instead of going a long time in between posts.
