Kelbie's Christmas Performance

Kelbie's dance class did a little Christmas performace before the holidays. Kelbie of course wouldn't dance because me, James and my mom were there. It was cute to see the class all together and to talk with the mom's again since I haven't seen them since I went back to work. I am hoping we get a better performance out of her at the end of the year recital since I am having to pay for that one. LOL!

Reindeer Hair

The awesome art teacher posted a picture of her daughters hair done up like a reindeer so I decided to give it a try on Kelbie and this is how it turned out. I love Jaxon's reaction in the pictures. He honestly had no idea what was in her hair but by the photos you totally would think that he did.

Its really easy to do. You need brown pipe cleaners for the antlers that you just bend however you want them to look, 2 googly eyes that I glued onto bobby pins, and a big red pom pom glued to a bobby pin for the nose. I just pulled Kelbie's hair back into a bun and stuck everything into her hair. It was really cute and everyone seemed to like it. She still asks for reindeer hair every once in awhile. Maybe I will try to find some other animals we can do.

Christmas 2013

We had a very low key Christmas morning. The kids were up super early so we were done with Christmas by 8am. Kelbie loved everything that she got. Jaxon did too I think. He really loved eating his stocking. Kelbie got everything we could find with My Little Pony, some clothes, dress up shoes, Princess for her Princess castle and a few other things I can't think of right now. Jaxon got pajamas, books, diapers, boy toys as James and I call them (car race track, activity cube, basketball goal, train, stacking rings, high chair toys). He hasn't explored his new toys much yet but I am sure in 6 months he will be playing with all of them.

Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve with my family. We went to church out in Sienna and then headed back to my parents house for dinner and presents. We had dinner then we let the kids open their presents first. That was a great idea because then they were able to play with a few of their toys while the adults opened our gifts. Kelbie got some awesome gifts as well as Jaxon. It was a late night by the time we got home and both kids were passed out in the car so it made getting our gifts and Santa gifts ready very easy. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Not the best Family Photo, but I take what I can get

Kelbie's First Theater Movie

By the age of 3 most kids have seen at least one if not more movies in the movie theater. I never took Kelbie because I wasn't sure how she would do. Sometimes movies don't hold her attention and I didn't want my child to be the one that was running up and down the aisle in the theater. Well over the Christmas break I braved it and decided to take her to see Frozen. She had seen the commercials for the movie and seemed really interested. So Nana and I took her on a Sunday morning. She did great and watched the whole movie. She enjoyed her icee, popcorn and fruit snacks. (I haven't been to the movies in ages and it is down right crazy how expensive going to a movie as become, but it was all worth it for her to enjoy her first movie) She loved it so much that we can't wait for it to come out on DVD and I also took her again to see the sing-a-long version.
Big girl at her first movie!

About to watch the sing-a-long version
