4 month check-up

So on Valentine's Day Kelbie had her 4 month check up. She is doing great. 95% or higher on all her stats. She weighs 17lbs 10oz 26in. She started baby food and is doing great so far. We started her with carrots twice a day along with rice cereal and her normal formula. She is rolling over both ways now and is moving all over the place so hopefully her weight will level out soon.  She got 2 shots and of course cried but didn't have a reaction or anything. Although the next day she did start to have this awful cough and stuffy nose. The doctor told me to watch her and if she wasn't better by Friday to bring her in. Well she wasn't better so my mom took off work and took her to the doctor for me.  She now has STREP and is on an antibiotic and breathing treatments. I never thought my child would have to do breathing treatments but she is getting them 3 times a day now. Well I will post again later. Hopefully she will be feeling better really soon.

February!

So we were supposed to have had 2 snow days this month and we got nothing. We closed work and everything and got maybe a little ice and really cold weather. I am so glad it is finally warming up though. Kelbie didn't have that many warm clothes and I hate having to dress her in layers. I like to just get her dressed and go. Worrying about if she is warm enough or too hot is no fun.

I can't believe its already been 4 months since Kelbie was born. I mean I know time flies when you have kids but it going by so fast. She goes to the doctor tomorrow for her check-up so I will post her stats later on this week. I know she is growing fast and is a big girl. She is already wearing mostly 6 month clothing. She is still in a few that are 3-6 and it also depends on the brand of clothing.

Monday will be her first Valentine's Day. She has a very cute outfit to wear. James and I aren't doing anything this year. He bought me flowers and we exchanged cards. He wanted to get me a ring from James Avery but we decided to wait and get it for our Anniversary. Funny how Valentine's Day changes once you have kids.

We found out about a week ago that James's sister Mollie is having a baby due October 5th. So Kelbie will get another cousin and their birthdays will be close to each other. Mollie is still very newly pregnant so we don't know much yet, but will update once we get updates ourselves.

Well that is it for now. Hope everyone has a good Valentine's Day. Next post will have Kelbie's 4 month update and some pictures if I remember to hook my camera up next time I blog.

SNOW DAY?

This weather is crazy. We live in Texas not New York. I am glad that Kelbie is getting to experience cold weather, but this is a little insane. She doesn't have clothes for snow. It is actually supposed to ice, sleet and snow tomorrow night into Friday. I am hoping that the snow sticks so that we can get some pictures of her in it as it will be her first snow. Work is closing early tomorrow so that will be nice, but no decision has been made about Friday yet. Fingers Crossed! Well I will post again if we get snow! Everyone stay warm and try to stay in your house if you can.
