Happy New Year

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010.

I am expecting great things to happen this year. While most people will be out having a good time and drinking tonight, James and I will be doing our normal thing which is hanging out at the house watching movies. We might go to family game night at my parents, but we are not sure yet. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year.

8 Months

So I am a few days late on this but better late then never. Christmas Day marked our 8 months of beinging married. It is amazing how time flies. I can't believe it has already been that long. It really does seem like it was just yesterday. We have already started thinking about our 1 year anniversary trip. We can't seem to agree on where to go as we dont want to take to much time off work nor can we really since we are using our vaction days in May to go to New York. I was thinking something like San Antonio, Austin or Dallas as that is drivable and can fit into our budget. Although I would really like to go some place like VEGAS! Any tips on where a good place to go would be that wont totally wipe us out but is still fun? We still have a few months to plan, but I am always open for suggestions.  Hope everyone is getting ready for the New Year. Its almost 2010. That is crazy. Time really is flying by these days.

Expensive Airfare

So James and I are trying to book our flight up to New York for Vicki & Adam's wedding and everything is  so expesive. I have flown up there by myself a few times and the prices were okay, but this time I am having to include a hotel, food, their wedding gift and whatever else we might need money for. It is becoming quite stressful in the fact that  I feel like all the airlines are jacking up their rates. If you have any helpful hints please send them my way as I need to book here in the next couple of weeks before the prices get worse.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was very good this year. We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We went to church at Houston Baptist then heading back to my parents house to eat and open gifts. Brayden opened his gifts while dinner was warming up and made it about half way through dinner before he was ready to go to bed. After dinner the adults got to open all of ours up.
James ended up getting golf balls, a golfing coin game for the golf course, sports athority giftcard, movies, wii nunchucks and a shirt from my family. I gave him another shirt, some nice shoes and The Hangover. His stocking stuffers were pretty good too... Tobacco, boxers, candy and nuttybutter bars.
I got a I Love Lucy blanket, some movies, boots, clothes and the best gift of all TAYLOR SWIFT TICKETS (thank you D & S) from my family. James got me a jacket, jeans, some shirts and a cross necklace. Stocking stuffers for me were... candy, The Ugly Truth, stationary, and a new phone charger.
Christmas was really good this year and I am looking forward to the concert May 25th with my brother.

On Christmas day we went back over to my parents house for breakfast and to open the gifts they got the animals. Jersey got a new bed for her cage, Lizzie got a car hammock to keep them in the back seat when they are in the car with us, and Indiana got some cat litter. Nothing to exciting and that will not be something that continues next year.  After breakfast we went to see Alvin and the Chipmuncks the Squeakual. Good movie. I still think the first one was better but I will probably by the second one when it is out on video. They we headed back to my parents house to hang out and we ended up watching on of my dad's Dale Earnhart collector movies that he got for Christmas. It was pretty good.

Now we are finally home and watching some of our movies we got and try to make since off all the stuff everywhere. Tomorrow we will be  taking down the decorations and starting to organize for the move in April since I am off I am going to start organizing and putting things together in crats that we dont use. I know its early, but I will not have time come March when all the packing will need to be done.

Hope everyone had an AWESOME Christmas. I look forward to reading about them later one.

Tis The Season

So I attend our Little Gym party last Friday and it was pretty good. It was nice to be able to hang out with everyone and see a few of the people I don't normally work with. Our boss took us out to eat at Corellis and then gave us some gifts. I got a Little Gym sweatshirt and a $50 Amex gift card. It was a nice couple of hours.

We had James's Christmas party the next night at the Houston Zoo. I was expecting the party to be pretty awesome as they usually are through his company, but I have to say this year I was disappointed. They had the party in the  Nautural Encounters exhibit and they brought out some of the animals throughout the night and then we got to have a private Sea Lion show. The food consisted of sandwiches and drinks. I mean it was awful, but defenitly expected more from his company. Maybe next years will be better.

Christmas in 3 days away, well 2 for us as we are doing Christmas on Christmas Eve this year. I am looking forward to just hanging out and seeing what everyone gets for presents. I am expecially excited for Brayden to open his gifts. He seems to be overwhelmed everytime there are a bunch of gifts for him at once. Almost like it is to much to take in at once. There will be a post after Christmas detailing the day.

Well off to watch Night at the Museam- Battle of the Smithstonian with James. Everyone be safe and have a good Christmas.

Christmas Time

Christmas is only 10 days away. I only have 3.5 more days off work then I am off for a whole two weeks. That will be nice to not have to do anything at all. I am pretty sure I will be helping my mom go through boxes at her house. Old things of mine and who knows what else. We have our Little Gym Christmas party on Friday so that should be fun and then James's company party is supposed to be Saturday at the Houston Zoo. I am not sure if we are going to that one yet, but if we do I will post pictures because their parties are usually very good. Well off to get ready to babysit Brayden and then work at LG. More Christmas posts to come.

Christmas Presents

I think this year I set a  new record for being done with Christmas shopping. It is December 4th and I am done. I am just waiting on a few things to come in the mail, then to wrap them and then I am completely done. I did most of my shopping today. I must say unlike most other years before, this Christmas is a small on for us. Since I am no longer nannying and just working part-time, our financial situation is not what it was last year. In all reality it is not the gifts that matter on Christmas but it is family, so everyone is just getting two simple gifts from us and hopefully next year we can be back to our normal spending limit at Christmas. James got his Christmas gift a few months ago, so he has only one lonely present under the tree, but I might go find a few other little inexpensive things for him. I am interested to see what he gets me as this will be the first year he is completely on his own. Usually I either tell him what I want or I get it myself. Example last year, he only got my stocking stuffers and they were very practical, but not something I would have chosen as a stocking stuffer, but that is okay. He is not the shopping type. So James with some cash and a mall should make for some interesting gifts from me this year.

I am looking forward to spending Christmas with the family again this year and seeing how excited Brayden gets opening his presents, even thought he still doens't full understand what is going on and why he is getting presents. I will also be attending my first Little Gym Christmas Party in two weeks. Nothing too fancy just dinner with all the staff and then the owner gives us our Christmas gifts. James's work party should be fun though... They always are, even though I missed last years I am for sure going to be attending this years.

Christmas cards will be in the mail tomorrow, so if you are normally on our mailing list keep your eyes out. I think they turned out very cute this year. We have Josh on them with us this time.

Post more later

New House

April 1st is going to be a big day for us. We are going to be moving into the house I grew up in. Our lease is up where we are at now in January and we were going to starting looking for houses to least, but when we were in Kansas, my mom called to tell me that our old house would be open as of April 1st. I am so excited. There have been renters in the house for many years now and I have always loved that house. So now they are moving out and we are moving in. We couldn't be more excited... MOre square footage, a backyard for the dogs and a place that we can really call our own. Just wanted to share the news because we are very excited to acutally have a house here in the next couple of months. Starting in probably March we will get to go in and do some repairs (mostly outside) and hopfully get to start painting a little bit. Of course this all depends on when the renters that are there now get things together at the house they are moving into. I will keep everyone posted as we know more. But yay for being in a house finally!

Kansas

So our Kansas trip was a success with only a little drama. We got to spend a lot of time with James's family and of course Joshua. He is always so excited when we get tocome up there, but leaving him is so hard. He gets so upset and it breaks our hearts. We spent Thanksgiving up there which was nice. It was a little weird for me not being in Houston with my family, as I have been for the last 23 years, but I really did love being up in Kansas. It is a totally different world up there compared to what I am used to down here. I love his family up there as well. We spent almost the whole time with his family and we got to take some awesome family photos up at Pomona Lake.. Thanks Uncle Paul and Aunt Mel. Over all it was a really great trip and I am already looking forward to seeing Joshua and the rest of the family again. If only I knew when that was going to happen.

On another note, while we were gone Jersey got spayed and everything went well. She was apparently up and ready to play not long after surgery, not that that surprises me at all. She never runs out of energy. She is healing well and acting just like normal. She did get a small infection from the  surgery so she is taking a few meds for a couple of days in hopes of clearing it all up.

I am now only working at the Little Gym part time. I decided to quit the nanny thing, so things are a little different right now. I am not used to having my days off. Kinda sucks that I made this decision right before Christmas, but everything will work out. I am looking forward to starting full time January 18th. Plus Brayden is going to be taking a class there and I think he is really going to enjoy it.

Well I am off to watch some tv and head to bed. I hate that James is  now working the night shift for a week or so, but things sure our quiet around here. I will post some pictures from Kansas probably tomorrow, so check back and if you want to see some of the family photos you can check them out on my facebook. I am still waiting to get all the other ones from Uncle Paul.

Birthdays

So James and I both celebrated our birthdays this past weekend. James's actual birhtday is the 2nd and mine the 24th. We celebrated with my family at Texas Land and Cattle, then headed back to Danny and Shannon's house for presents and cake. I haven't had a chance to post the pictures yet, but I will tonight or tomorrow before we leave for Kansas. James got gift cards to Sports Authority and a gopher golf club cover that Brayden picked out.  I got some glasses with our initals on them for the kitchen, a pair of nice Clark flipflops, a flameless candle set and two necklaces. James's gift from me was new golf clubs which is also his Christmas present. James let me go shopping for my birthday so I ended up getting, two Nine West purses, two pairs of jeans and some other clothing things from my favorite store Charlette Russe.  I am not sure if I will be getting more tomorrow on my actually birthday but I will let you know.

Well back to work for me. Only 1.5 more hours of nannying then Little Gym tonight. Babysitting Jace and more Little Gym tomorrow and tomorrow night then it is off to Kansas at 3:30 AM on Wednesday morning. 12 hours here we come.

More to come on the Kansas trip. It should be fun!

Same Old Thing

So I am offically done being a Nanny as of January. I was offered a full-time spot at Little Gym and decided that was the right step for me to take at this time. I am actually very excited about it. I will be in charge of making the parent-child lesson plans and I will be teaching more classes. I am hoping this is going to be a job that I will continue to love and eventually get the chance at a Managment spot.

James and I are heading to Kansas here in about 4 weeks for Thanksgiving. I am so excited to see his family again. They are definently the ones I get along with best. I am also excited to see Joshua again. Its only been 6 months but still. I am hoping one day he will be living here in Texas with us so we can see him everyday.

The new puppy Jersey is getting along great with Lizzie now. They play together all the time. I knew it wouldn't take her long to adust. Lizzie always seemed like she needed a playmate. NOw if Jersey would just stop chewing on things that she isn't supposed to be we would be in business.

Well I think that is all for the update. I know boring but I hardly have time to do anything now that I am taking on more hours at Little Gym and still Nannying. Maybe in January when things slow down a bit I will actually have more interesting things to write about.

Hope everyone is doing good and has a great Halloween. Pictures coming from the Little Gym Halloween Party as well as some of Brayden.

Babies

So why is that as soon as you say I Do everyone starts asking "When are you going to have a baby?" Since when is it that it has to be rushed. I mean I know alot of people that want to have kids like ASAP after getting married, but is it so wrong to want to wait a year or so. Don't get my wrong James and I aren't going to wait forever, but I feel like I am asked all the time. Now maybe that has something to do with the line of work I do. James and I have talked about kids alot and we know what time works best for us. I feel like these days it is almost like a contest to see who can have kids first. I love kids and I can't wait to have my own, but at the same time I like being able to do whatever I want whenever I want and not have kids to worry about.  Maybe I am an just a little old school, but I enjoy the life without kids, but I know it is amazing once you start adding them to your family. James and I want to start trying to have kids next year and we will be married a year next April. I think that is enough time to have enjoyed the married life and adding kids to it is more stressful but is also so amazing. I mean James and I have already named our kids even though they dont exist yet. Well I just wanted to vent about it. Actually I wouldn't say vent because its not a bad thing, its just a question that both James and I get alot and it gets rather annoying sometimes. Dont worry I will let everyone know as soon as we actually are expecting.

Life Hasn't Changed Much

So I haven't written in awhile so I thought I would update. Nothing much is really going on with us. I am still working at Little Gym and Nanny and so far it is all going good. James is doing good at work. He hasn't been working much overtime which is nice.

. We adopted a puppy that we named Jersey/Our neighbors found her out in the country about a week ago and we were trying to find her a home and didn't really have much luck so we decided to keep her ourselves. We took her to the vet and got her first round of shots and made sure she was healthy, which she was minus some worms which we are treating with some medicine. The vet said she seems to be about 10-12 weeks old and mixed with German Shepard, Chow, Lab and some other dog. She is going to be about 50lbs full grow, which isn't much more then Lizzie. Lizzie and Jersey are getting along more and more everyday which is good. Lizzie is starting to share her toys, even though we got Jersey a few of her own. I think she is going to make a good addition to our family. NO MORE ANIMALS UNTIL THE ONES WE HAVE PASS AWAY.

James and I rescheduled our Kansas trip and I am very exicited to go up there. I miss his family there. I love them and enjoy spending time with them. We are going November 25-29. So we are leaving the day after my birthday and will be up there for Thanksgiving. this will be the 1st year I haven't spent Thanksgiving with my family, but it will be nice to have a change this time and enjoy a few days of not working.

Vicki's wedding is fast approaching and I just ordered my dress this week. I am very excited to go up there for her and Adam's big day. Now if I can just find cheap airfare and hotels for us and my parents we will be in business. I have a feeling this trip is going to cost a lot of money, but it is all for a good cause. I am hoping we can all fly up together, but it looks like I will be going up a day early for Vicki's bachelorette party and then James and my parents will be flying up the following day to stay for the wedding. That is also a much needed vacation that I am looking forward to. Their wedding should be quite interesting and elegant. I dont know much details, but just knowing Adam and how he wants things to be different form normal weddings so it should make for a fun but different in a good way wedding.

Well I will post again later once I find something new to blog about. I know I am aweful at keeping up with this thing but not very much happens in our life at the moment. Once we get pregnant and have kids I will have something to blog about on a normal basis.

Hope everyone is doing well and is staying healthy with all this SWINE FLU craziness that is going on. We have had 2 kids at Little Gym come down with it, but they are doing good now. A little close to home for me. None of the staff has gotten sick yet and I am hoping it stays that way.

Back Problems

So I went to the Chiropractor Friday since my back has totally been killing me. I used to go to him all the time in High School, so needless to say it has been awhile. So since I hadn't been in forever I was considered a new patient and had to do all the exams and stuff again. Well while he was doing the exam he noticed that my reflex on my left leg was delayed and that it is weaker then my right. I never would have noticed any of this if I hadn't gone in for what I thought was just going to be an adjustment. So anyway he is conserned about what he found. I have new strechs that I have to do 3 times a day which he hopes is going to loses the pressure off my lower back and allow my nerves to be normal again. I have to go see him twice next week and then I am probably going to cut down to only once a week because of the price. So needless to say I am a little worried with what he found Friday and I am hoping that the strechs and what not will help fix the problem, if not I am not sure what the  next step is going to be.  I will find out more Monday morning when I go in and he tells me what his thoughts are on the whole appointment from Friday. My back has been killing me even more so since Friday. I could use some prayers if you could send them my way I would appreciate it. I will keep you up to date when I know more.

On another note the jobs are going great, James is working a decent amount and our Kansas trip has been moved to the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was really looking forward to going up there and spending time with his family, but now maybe since we are going over the Holidays I will get to meet more of his family then I did the last time we went up there.

Little Gym/Nannying

So I have been working both of my jobs for about 2 weeks now and it  is finally starting to catch up with me. I am supposed to have Saturdays off, but have been picking up extra hours at the Gym. I am so beyond  tired and sore that I can't even focus. I love working for at the Gym and I love teaching my class and helping in others but I never knew how demanding it was on your body. It always looks so simple when  I had been there in the past. As for the nanny job, it is going well. I have both the kids on Mon and Wed and just the baby on Tues and Thurs so it isn't that bad. I guess now I know how James feels when he works all the time and never wants to do anything. I don't even want to run errands, do laundry or clean house on the weekends even though it is the only time I have to do it. Well I am off to the Little Gym now to cover for Alex who wasn't feeling well. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend.

Brayden's 1st Birthday

Playing in his new sandbox
Pulling is wagon with his blocks inside
Eating birthday cake
Opening one of his many presents
Playing in the ballpit
HIs barnyard cake
Drinking his bottle in his farmers outfit

So Brayden turned 1 on August 14th. We celebrated his birthday on Saturday with family and friends. The theme was barnyard animals. Brayden seemed to have a great time playing with his friends and playing with the toys. Here are a few pictures of the big boy on his big day. He is growing up so fast.

Time For A Change

So tomorrow is my last day being Jace's nanny. Honestly I am so ready to be done working with them. That probably sounds really bad and I kinda feel bad for not being sad about leaving. I start my new nanny job August 25th and I start training with the Little Gym starting Monday and then the new semester starts on August 24th and I will be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and then all day Sunday. I am excited about the new change and all the options that the Little Gym has for me in the next few months. It is going to be tough as far as income for the next few weeks, but I know James and I will make it work no matter what we have to do. Well until next time. Maybe I will have something more eventful to write about next time.

LIfe

So my last day as Jace's nanny is next Thursday. I get to have a few days off to relax before I start training at The Little Gym and then I start Nannying again at the end of August for Keira and Aiden.

James and I have made plans to go to Kansas September 18-23. I am excited to see all his family again and show the ones that couldn't make it to the wedding our video as well as our pictures. I am hoping to get some professional pictures done of us with Joshua, so if you know of any photographers in Kansas let me know.

I am helping Vicki's sister Melanie plan Vicki's bachelorette party. She is the maid of honor so she has come up with most of the things, I am just giving my input and what not. Vicki has pretty much got the whole wedding planned and all the little details done. I have to order my dress in like December, so until then I am just waiting on her to decide on shoes. I am hoping so goes with some that you get dyed to match the dress. I think it would look good, but its not my wedding so I really don't get much say. She has been asking all the bridesmaids opinions on things which is really nice.

James is still working hard and seems to be enjoying his job, even though he works with a few questionable guys. I don't know them so I can't really say anything about them, just what I hear from James. I am hoping that he will start talking to his dad again soon. I mean how long can this really go on. I understand the need for him to have a relationship with him and I honestly have no problem with his dad, its more his step mom that causes all the problems. I am willing to work with her and at least come to a compromise for the sake of James and his dad's relationship but I honestly have no desire to have a relationship with her of anything more then being friendly to each other. You would have to know the whole story to get it. Sometimes I just need to vent about it and I don't know how else to do it and not indulge to much.

Other then all that everything else seems to be going pretty well. I am looking forward to the next couple of months as well as the things that are in store for 2010.

JOB

I GOT A JOB WORKING AT THE LITTLE GYM IN SUGAR LAND STARTING IN AUGUST.

I am super excited. It is always so much fun there with all the kids. I will be working part time while I work as a Nanny as well. Yay for good income. Now I don't have to stress out about anything anymore. I knew everything would fall into place.

Things Going On/Looking Forward Too

So here are the things going on in our life and things we are looking forward too...

1. August is almost here and my last day of work is August 6Th then I get a couple weeks off before starting my other job. Yay for a short vacation but boo for no money.

2. James and I have decided to stay living where we are for another 6 months then look for houses to rent, as we would like a house and Lizzie could really use a backyard to run in.

3. The AC went out in my car so it is extremely hot driving around. It is going to cost a fortune to fix, but we are hoping it will be covered under warranty so we don't have to pay as much to get it fixed. It needs to be fixed no matter what though.

4. James is starting to work more which is helping us out some. I hate when he works, but it does help us out more so then when he doesn't work overtime. At least he really loves his job and enjoys working most of the time.

5. We got all of our wedding photos and our wedding DVD. They all turned out great and we cant wait to see the finished product of the DVD. He is going to add in some still shots and a slide show of our Honeymoon.

6. We are visiting Kansas in September and I am very excited about it. As different as Kansas is from here, I still really enjoy going up there. Plus I love spending time with his family and Joshua.

7. Brayden's 1st birthday is coming up next month, so the party should be a blast. He is into everything. Walking and talking too.

8. I am excited to go to NY in May for Vicki and Adam's wedding. They have pretty much got everything together and it sounds like it is going to be a blast. Vicki picked out the bridesmaids dresses and they happen to be ones that we tried on for our wedding that I really really like and wanted for myself so it works our great. Now maybe I will get in shape a little more, but we will see how far that goes.

I am sure there is more but I am having a mental block at the moment. Write more later.

Boo

Well the whole family left for Destin, FL today and will be gone until July 5th... This totally sucks because James and I couldn't go and I am super sad that I don't get to be there. On top of that James is working overtime all weekend, so I will have to entertain myself this weekend. I am very glad that James is working overtime again though so I guess I couldn't complain. I will spend the weekend looking for jobs, because as of August 7th I will no longer work for the family that I currently work for. I am a little stressed but I know it will all work out in the way that it is supposed to. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. I will write more later on this weekend or next week.

Sunday Excitement

Well James was starting to get better this weekend. He laid around on the couch all Friday and Saturday. He was up and moving around on Sunday but not like his normal self. He started to notice a rash on his feet around lunch time and by four it had spread to his knees. Well needless to say by 9pm Sunday night, it was all over his body and it looked totally gross. We ended up going to the ER and getting him checked out. We went to a minor emergency room in Sugar Land which was a lot better then waiting at the hospital for hours. They said that it was a reaction to the medicine the doctor had given him so they gave him a steroid shot and some benydril and set him home with 4 new prescriptions. We were waiting at Walgreens at 11pm for all his new meds. Needless to say it was a very eventful Sunday and I am very tired from being up so late on a Sunday. James is doing better though. The rash isn't as bad and the new antibiotics seem to be working. Lets just hope that he isn't allergic to these as well, because we cant afford another ER visit and James hates having to go to them. I'll keep everyone updated on the situation, but he should be fine. He went back to work today, so I know he was at least feeling more like himself then he was the past few days.

Update

So the Wedding and Honeymoon are over and we are back to normal life. It doesn't feel much different being married, but it is cool to have James's last name finally. As most of you know we were supposed to go to Mexico on a cruise for our Honeymoon, but thanks to the Swine Flu we got rerouted. We got and extended cruise from 5 days to 7 days and we went to Jamacia and Grand Cayman instead. I would love to go back to Grand Cayman and spend a few days there, but I don't think I would like to go back to Jamaica. Its was alright but it really does make you appreciate what you have here when you go over there.

James is still working for the same HVAC company and probably will be for awhile. He has good job stability there so I cant complain and he seems to enjoy working there. Me on the other hand will be headed to a new job in August. The family I work for now is no longer going to need a Nanny after August. It actually worked out great because I was planning on leaving anyways. I feel that you should be happy in the job you have and I just don't have that being with this family. I am looking into something with the County, but so far there are no job openings. I have interviewed with a few new families for Nanny jobs, but I am only taking another Nanny job if nothing else opens up. So I guess we will just have to see how the summer plays off.

We are planning a few vacations between now and next summer. A few are set in stone and other we are just talking about. We know that once James's busy season at work is over we will be taking a trip up to Kansas to see his family and Joshua. Probably in September for a week again. We might be going on a vacation for our birthdays over Thanksgiving to either Colorado or Branson, but we haven't decided yet. Next May my parents and us will be heading up to Buffalo, NY for Vicki and Adam's wedding. Not a long visit, but enough to do a little sight seeing before the wedding and then to enjoy the wedding. I am really looking forward to their wedding.

I guess that is about it going on in our life right now. I need to start keeping up with this Blog thing. We don't have much exciting new going on in our life so there isn't much to write about. I guess when we start having kids there will be a reason to Blog more.... No worries that wont be happening until at least next Summer.

I will be posting most of the professional pictures on Facebook probably shortly after we get back. There are so many of them it is going to take awhile. Thanks to everyone who was there and we hope you all had just as much fun as we did

Life/Wedding

Well we are down to one month. I can't believe it is finally this close. It has been forever waiting for April to get here. I can't complain about the long engagement though. We are down to just last minute little things and final payments. I am still waiting on quite a few people to RSVP. I guess people don't know what that means these days. Vicki is coming in on Wed. for the whole month which is going to be a lot of fun. It will be nice seeing her for more then just a week at a time once or twice a year like normal. She finally got engaged so next will be her wedding. While she is here we are going to do a bunch of things, on top of the already busy month I have. We are planning a beach weekend the weekend before the wedding that will be just Girls while James goes fishing up in Huntsville at his Grandpa's lake house. We have my Bridal Shower next weekend which should be a lot of fun. Then of course there will be shopping, rock climbing, and girls nights.. Just like High School again pretty much. I am also getting excited about our Honeymoon. We leave May 2nd for a week long cruise. James has never been on one so hopefully he likes them as much as I do. I am also glad I get to see his Kansas family for the wedding. It has been over a year since we last saw them and I really enjoy spending time with them. Well I guess I better get back to work, but I will post more as the wedding gets closer and plenty after the wedding as well.

Brayden: Now & Then!

Brayden and almost 6 months old!Brayden at 1 week old!

As you can tell the little munchkin has grown a bunch over the last 6 months.

The New Year

Well we are well into 2009 and I haven't posted anything yet. I feel like I have been so busy that I can't even think straight. So we didn't do anything for New Years. We aren't a big fan of going out and being on the roads with everyone else who is drinking so we just hung out and the house. We met with the Pastor who is doing our wedding in January and that was kinda exciting and interesting. He is a really funny guy. He is the Pastor at Christ United Methodist (a lot of people go to that church that grew up here). He wasn't my first choice for a Pastor but Pace was taken on our wedding day. Anyways so we have 2 more meetings with him before the wedding and I think everything is going to run smoothly. James got to meet the DJ for the first time and he really liked him. I think we have one of the coolest DJ's that we could possibly have. So far this month we have celebrated my mom's birthday and I retook my Bridals in Downtown Richmond. I am waiting to get those so I can see how much better they turned out. I really am having second thoughts about our photographers for the wedding but its to late to change now. On another note Brayden is going to be 6 months old on Saturday. The time is really flying by. He has gotten so fat since he came home from the hospital. I will have to post a then and now photo so you can see for yourself. So enough about wedding stuff, it basically consumes my life until April. James finally got a raise again and a new personal truck. He hasn't had a personal truck for over a year now just his company truck. I am usually never home on the weekends so we have been debating about getting him is own truck so he can do whatever on the weekends and he finally convinced me and now he has a truck. He is pretty excited. I'm excited about the fact that Vicki is going to be in Texas in less then 2 months. I feel like it has been forever since we last hung out and in will be close to a year by the time she gets down here. I am hoping that she will be engaged when she gets down here. She thought Adam was going to propose on their anniversary, but no such luck so now it is a sit and wait kinda game. Well everything as you can see is going pretty good here. I just can't wait for the wedding and our honeymoon. Life will be a lot better after all of that is over with and plus I am excited to see James's Kansas family again for the wedding. I like them a lot better then his family down here, but pretty much everyone knows that and James isn't speaking to the family down here at the moment. I will up date again later, probably not until next month but who knows.
