Thanksgiving 2013

We had a very low key Thanksgiving this year. We had dinner with my family at my parents house and then came home to hang out by the fire. It was fun letting all the cousins play together and to get to enjoy a good dinner. Here are a few pictures I took of the kids before we headed to dinner. It was also Jaxon's first Thanksgiving!

She would only take a picture if she got to hold her My Little Pony bow!

Jaxon's First Taste of Food!

Jaxon's pedi gave us the go ahead to start rice cereal at his 4 month appointment, well he HATES it. She also gave us the go ahead to start baby food at about 5 months. He isn't technically 5 months but I decided to give it a try, in hopes that he would like it better then the cereal. The pictures below show you exactly how it goes every time we try it. I have decided to wait a couple more weeks and try again when he is a little closer to 6 months. The funny thing is, he is so different from Kelbie. She loved all food and had no issues with wanting to eat it or try a new one every week. Like they say, each kid is different.

Happy 30th Birthday

This old man here turned 30 this month. He wasn't to excited about but I would say he had a pretty good birthday. We celebrated on the 1st with my family at my parents house by having Fajitas. That weekend he went down to Galveston for the biker rally with some co workers. He said he had a pretty good time. Although when we got home Sunday I sent him up to CVS to get a prescription and on his way home his back breaks went out and he fell off his bike ending him up in the ER Sunday night with a sprained ankle, fractured rib, very sore and a few bumps and bruises. Luckily he was okay and I think he is taking a break from riding for a little while.

I can't believe he is already 30. Only 2 more years and I will be joining him. I sure am glad I can call him my husband and the daddy to our kids.

San Antonio 2013 Part UNO

After getting all settled in Friday we took the kids to the Kiddie Park in San Antonio. This place was awesome. It has about 10 rides for kids 2-12 that they can ride by themselves. Its an older place and the rides looked a little questionable but the kids had a blast. It was $13 for an all you can ride pass and they had consessions so the kids could eat while we were there. They even had mini funnel cakes which were so cute and just as good as the big ones. We spent about 3 hours there. It was a little chilly out but with the sun it was a pretty nice day. The kids didn't want to leave but everyone needed a nap. Here are some pictures from the day.
Heading in, Apparently Kelbie and Brayden were being superheros or something!

Airplane ride.

Snack Break

Boat ride. Kelbie didnt' want to ride this one but I did get her on it once!

Carousel

Horse & Buggy ride with Trystan

She loved the bus ride

Popcorn, Juice, Funnel Cake and Chicken Nuggets

Farris Wheel. I was very surprised that she rode this and even a second
time without Brayden

Flying Saucers, this was both kids favorite ride.
Kelbie wanted to ride everything with Brayden and there were
times Brayden wanted to ride alone and Kelbie would have a
meltdown but it all ended up good.

Jaxon hung with Nana most of the day

San Antonio 2013 Part DOS

On Saturday we took the kids to Sea World. I personally was very excited about this because I didn't go to Sea World for the first time until I was 21. I knew this would be something Kelbie would really enjoy. All the kids did great walking pretty much the whole day. We were there from the time they opened at 12pm until about 530pm. We saw a couple shows, the kids got to play in the kids area, and of course we saw all the animals. I thought Kelbie would love the dolphins best but when you ask her what her favorite thing was she will tell you the sharks. She even picked a shark stuffed animal to take home. She is her daddy's child.

Jaxon 4 Months

How is this little man already 4 months old? It seems like he was just born yesterday. He is so full of energy and such a happy baby. He is trying so hard to roll over and every once in a while he will get it but hasn't mastered it on a regular basis yet. He still loves sucking his thumb or fist depending on which one he can get into his mouth first. Tummy time is becoming a little easier, he doesn't stream the whole time anymore and he still really loves laying on his back playing on his piano mat. We have started introducing rice cereal but he is not a fan. We are somewhat on a schedule but I am still not really forcing it. He is usually asleep at night from about 7 or 8 until 330-4 and then will eat and go back to sleep until about 630. He is eating 6oz about every 3-4 hours. Loves to be tickled and love to laugh and anyone and anything.

Lenght: 26"
Weight: 16lbs 9oz

He is so James's son. It is so hard for me to get
him to smile once he sees my phone.
