First Week Back

So my first week back and work went pretty well. It was very hard for me to leave Kelbie with the sitter on Wednesday but after that I have been fine. Kelbie really enjoys playing with Margaret and she will soon have a couple other babies to play with. I am so exhausted from this week but it is only because I am getting used to the new schedule. Kelbie knows I am back to work because she has stopped sleeping through the night the past week. I am hoping to get her back on her schedule soon. I am very excited to be back at work and I love playing with all the kids again. Pictures to come later of Kelbie at the sitters. Hope every one has had a good week and weekend.

Come on March

I am so excited that Vicki will be visiting us from March 10th to March 16th. I haven't seen her since her wedding and I am so glad that she will finally get to meet her God Daughter. It was awesome to see her flight itinerary in my inbox the other morning when I had gotten up at 2am to feed Kelbie. More to come on her visit.

Back To Work

So Tuesday starts my first week back to work full time. I am very excited to get back to work but also realizing that I am really going to miss my little girl. My schedule is a little crazy, but I needed hours and I am flexible so I took whatever I could get. I am very thankful that the Gym has been able to work with me so that I don't have to have Kelbie with the nanny everyday. I am working both Saturday and Sunday but a couple of my co-workers have been nice enough to cover shifts for me every once in awhile so that I can have a little extra time with James and Kelbie. I am also excited that Kelbie will be starting classes at the Gym tomorrow. She will be a little young but I know she will do fine and she has a good teacher in the Monday class. I am teaching the Friday class so she might come to that one a few times if someone is off to take her. Post to come later about how my first week went and how the transition for all 3 of us was. Prayers for all of us would greatly be appreciated. It is going to be tough on James and I for sure. I am sure Kelbie will do great no mater who she is with.

Nanny

So James and I found a very nice lady who does in-home care at her house in Stafford and decided after we  met with her and heard from her references that she was the perfect fit for us. Kelbie's first day will be 1-19. I never thought I would be the one who was a little nervous about leaving my little girl with a nanny. I nannied for many years so I thought it would be an easy thing for me. I do feel very comfortable with the lady we have chosen, but I know the first week will be hard. The nannies name is Margaret and she has 3 older kids of her own  and lives in a very nice neighborhood. She has been doing in-home care for about 15 years and loves each of  the kids like her own. She just started her care up again and Kelbie will be the first and only baby for about 3 weeks, then she will have two younger kids joining her. I don't know much about the other two kids except that it is a boy and  a girl and they will be about 6 weeks old when they start sometime in February. I am really hoping this works they way we feel it is going too. The gym has been awesome with making my hours so that  I didn't have to send Kelbie to the sitters everyday and I am so thankful for that. Her nanny will be  sending  me texts and  pictures throughout the  day when Kelbie is there, just so I can see how she is doing, which I thought was really awesome. I am sure there will be many more posts about Kelbie's adventurers in home care.
