Almost 1 month

I can't believe my little girl will be a month old next Thursday. She has changed so much since she was born. She still looks alot like James but then again so does Josh. James has some really strong genes apparently. In the past month Kelbie has learned to hold her head up all by herself. She still loses control of it sometimes but for the most part can do it. She has a good set up lungs as well. When she is not happy she makes sure that  Mommy and Daddy  know it. She has been  on many outings since she was a week old and seems to enjoy going out most of the time. We went out to dinner for the first time since she was born last night and she slept the whole time.  She has outgrown NB clothes since about 2 weeks old so she  only wears 3 months now. We have had to go shopping for clothes this past week as we did not have that many 3 months nor did we have warm  clothes for her. I think she is going to enjoy shopping  just as  much as I do although I don't think James is going to like it.

As for her ear. We met with the best ENT at Texas Children's and  even thought we were not impressed with her and what she had to tell us we will be using her for all surgery's and what not that Kelbie will have to have. We are going for her ultrasound and hearing test next Friday which is a trip in itself. Texas Children's could not get us in for a hearing test until February, which I thought was absolutely crazy so we are driving out to Cypress to get it done at a place out there and will be driving back to the Med Center that same day to  do her ultrasound. Basically the ultrasound is just to make sure  all her organs were developed correctly, which sometimes they don't when  the ear doesn't develop. One more thing for me to worry about although I think everything developed as it should internally. We are also going to a second opinion on Monday with the ENT I used to go to. Just to see if he tells us the same thing.  All I know is this is going to be  a long process and I am just going to have to be patient.

So basically the past month has gone by very fast and before I know it I will be back and work and having to leave her with a sitter. I am loving staying at home with  her even  thought sometimes I am  exhausted but I am making due. Her and I have a routine that seems to work  for us most of the time. Now if we could just get Daddy to be a little more patient and willing to try we  would be  in business. Don't get me wrong he is a great  dad and loves spending time with  her, he just hasn't figured out his way of calming her  down  yet and he still isn't completely comfortable doing alot of things that she needs. He will get there and  that is fine. He does take the overnight shift sometimes which is helpful.

We are taking our first set of family pictures tomorrow and what was supposed to be Kelbie's newborn pictures which have turn into her 1 month photos. I am very excited to see how they turn out. Plus Kelbie has some  really cute  things to wear and hopefully will be in a good mood. I will post those once we get them.
