Surfside Beach

So after almost 4 years of having kids we decided it was about time we introduced them to the beach. Now if we lived near any other beach besides Galveston we would be frequent beach goers. I hate the beach. I never get in the water and would much rather get a tan. Thankfully James's boss owns a beach house in surfside and let us borrow it for a long weekend. The kids absolutly loved it. Kelbie is just like me and hates the water. She did okay when we first took them down there, but there we made her get in the water just to try it out and she screamed the whole time. Jaxon was fine with whatever except when it was time to leave the sand. He wanted to play all day.

Friday the weather was nasty so we headed into Galveston to go to Moody Gardens. It was already in our plans but we were going to do Palm Beach instead of the pyrimds. The kids loved seeing all the different animals and shopping in the gift shop. After a fun filled day there we heading to Bubba Gumps for a late lunch early dinner and then to the Strand for some shopping.

Saturday we spend the entire day either on the deck of the beach house or playing in the sand.  We found some water balloons that we blew up and the kids enjoyed throwing those around the deck after a day full of beach fun. Kelbie got to play with glowsticks later that night after Jaxon went to bed and we even had glow stick races.
